The service life of any garment also depends on proper care.
Therefore, please always observe the sewn-in care label. Even after repeated washing, the function of the GORE-TEX® membrane remains intact.
Before washing motorcycle clothing, always remove the crash pads/protectors first!
WASHING
Be sure to read the sewn-in care label! Unless specified otherwise, choose hand washing (with pH-neutral soap and lukewarm water). NO machine wash! First remove heavy dirt from the leather areas with a damp cloth or a soft brush. To avoid detergent residues on the GORE-TEX material, rinse with sufficient clear water (repeat the rinsing procedure).
Do not use fabric softener!!!
WASHING
Be sure to read the sewn-in care label! Unless specified otherwise, wash in the washing machine with a detergent suitable for membrane clothing using the delicates program at 30 °C (do not spin dry).
Pre-treat heavy dirt with washing booster and stains with a commercially available stain remover.
To avoid detergent residues on the GORE-TEX material, rinse with sufficient clear water (repeat the rinsing procedure).
Do not use fabric softener!!!
IRONING
Do not iron leather motorcycle clothing.
IRONING
You can re-activate the water-repellent impregnation effect by ironing (without steam) according to the care label or in the tumble dryer at low temperature.
TUMBLE DRYER
Do not tumble dry. Allow to dry at room temperature. Do not dry in the sun!

Do not use chlorine bleach.

Unless stated otherwise on the care label, dry cleaning is possible. However, washing in the washing machine is preferable.
Impregnation does not impair the function of the GORE-TEX membrane in any way. On the contrary – well-impregnated clothing is dirt and water-repellent. A soaked outer material causes a loss of heat. A good impregnation therefore also protects against cold.
The outer materials of the clothing equipped with GORE-TEX are already impregnated during their manufacture. However, as this impregnation doesn't last forever, the item of clothing should be treated after washing with a commercially available impregnating spray if the water no longer rolls off the outer material. Use a silicone-free impregnating spray, spray it on after washing and allow it to dry. The clothing should be impregnated again after washing once or twice. Also impregnate the sleeve and leg openings as well as under the zippers on the front, sleeve and leg openings. Leather can be treated with a leather care lotion ore foam.
Tip: A "heat treatment" in the tumble dryer at a low temperature according to the care label can increase the water-repellent effect still further. Do not treat coating with leather in the tumble dryer.
Damage cannot be ruled out if zippers are actuated when very dirty (dust, sand, mud, etc.). In particular in the case of waterproof zippers, actuation of the zip fastener when dirty can lead to it no longer being waterproof. It is therefore recommended to clean exposed zippers in particular.
